THE DEEP HOLE WIRELINE UNIT

In order to serve your deep or high mud weight holes we have the Deephole Wireline Unit.  Our Units are versatile, dependable, and rugged.  They are a compact, self-contained, skid mounted unit weighing 7,000 lbs. and measuring 6’ x 9’ x 5’.  These units are equipped with 3/16” work or swablines with a breaking strength of 4,800 lbs. Bob Croom, Inc.’s units exceed the latest BOEMRE Pollution & Safety Specifications.

These units consist of a drum with a capacity of 25,000’ x 3/16” wireline with a brake band on each end of the drum.  The power drive assembly comes complete with a 55 horsepower, electric start diesel engine complete with a heavy-duty hydraulic tank, pump and motor.  The transmission is a sturdy industrial grade unit with four forward speedS.  The hydraulic drive provides the operator with a multiple of speeds varying from 0 to maximum.  Excess pressure and fluid are returned to the tank bypassing the motor.  The 4-way valve acts as a clutch and directional valve.  The speed control valve varies line speed by varying the amount of fluid to the hydraulic motor and uses the hydraulic motor as a pump to control speed into the well with the engine off.

THE SLICKLINE UNIT

In order to serve your wireline needs we have the Bob Croom, Inc. Slickline Unit.  Our units are versatile, dependable, and rugged.  They are a compact, self-contained, and skid mounted unit weighing 3,600 lbs. and measuring 4’ x 8’ x 5’. Bob Croom, Inc. units exceed the latest BOEMRE Pollution & Safety Specifications.

The basic unit consists of a drum with a capacity of 25,000’ x .092 wireline with a brake band on each end of the drum.  The power drive assembly comes complete with a 23 horsepower, diesel engine with a hydraulic pump and motor. The transmission is a sturdy unit with three forward speeds.  The hydraulic drive provides the operator with a multiple of speeds varying from 0 to Maximum.  Excess pressure and fluid are returned to the tank bypassing the motor.  The 4-way valve acts as a clutch and directional valve.  The speed control valve varies line speed by varying the amount of fluid to the hydraulic motor and uses the hydraulic motor as a pump to control speed into the well with the engine off.

Each unit is rented complete with the following accessories:

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF RENTALS, SALES & SERVICE

  • Rental equipment, of Bob Croom, Inc., remains the property of Bob Croom, Inc., and the user agrees to render them, regardless of condition, to Bob Croom, Inc. upon completion of well at hand unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • Equipment and services shall be used at the sole risk of the renter, and Bob Croom, Inc. will not be held liable for damage to wells, persons, or property arising out of the use of this equipment.  Should renter violate any terms and conditions of this agreement, become bankrupt, insolvent, in receivership, or should any creditor or other person attach a lien on renter’s property or equipment, Bob Croom, Inc. shall immediately have the right without notice to retake and remove its tools and equipment wherever they may be found.
  • Bob Croom, Inc. warrants that its equipment is free from defects of workmanship or material and when such defects are shown, will be liable only for the replacement of, or the allowance of credit for the parts shown to be defective when used for the purpose intended.
  • Only Bob Croom, Inc., its shops, or agents will repair tools.  If equipment of Bob Croom, Inc. is altered or repair attempted by anyone other than Bob Croom, Inc. personnel or agents, that equipment will be classified as damaged beyond repair and the responsible party will be billed for tools as per lost-in-hole price.
  • Any charges for testing, magnetic inspection or any other inspection that may be required by the customer will be billed back to the customer.  Damaged connections will be recut and charged back to customer at prevailing machine shop rates.  Transportation will be charged for all tools picked up and delivered per published weight and hot-shot rate.
  • All tools ordered out and not used will be subject to charge.  All tool rentals will be calculated on a portal to portal basis.  All tools are for rental only and no rental charges shall be applied against the purchase of tools.  Both rental price and lost-in-hole or damaged beyond repair must be reported within 30 days.  Customer will be held liable for rental charges accrued until the date of loss is reported.
  • All invoices, unless otherwise specified, are due and payable in 30 days.  Bob Croom, Inc. reserves the right to charge interest on past due accounts, and in the event account is placed for collection, an additional 25% of the aggregate balance due on said principal and interest together with all legal costs incurred, will be added hereto.
